A man was shot to death near in an unincorporated area near the Vermont Knolls neighborhood and sheriff’s detectives Thursday are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Deputies were called at 11:26 p.m. Wednesday to 1300 block of 102nd Street, where they found the wounded man, who died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
On Thursday, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified him as Charles Polk, Jr., 32, whose city of residence was not known.
