Officers dispatched at about 4:50 a.m. to the 2500 block of Santa Fe Avenue regarding a “shots” call located evidence that a shooting had occurred, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that a group of victims were having a verbal dispute with another group, which escalated when a male adult suspect began firing a gun,” according to a police statement.
