The Palm Springs Police Department continued to investigate the assault of a 70-year-old man who suffered “significant injures,” as officers searched for suspects.
Police were notified of the incident at 5:24 a.m. Sunday, according to a department statement. Police said they found the victim with facial and head trauma after an assault on South Riverside Drive.
Initial investigations suggest the man was attacked by four men, police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital.
