The body of a man who fell off a boat was found Thursday evening by the crew of a fishing boat near the Chevron El Segundo Tank Farm.
Personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department Lifeguard Division and U.S. Coast Guard began searching the area between Point Dume and Marina del Rey around 4 p.m. after learning from someone on the boat that a passenger had fallen into the water.
Aerial footage showed a Coast Guard vessel involved in the search, as a LACFD helicopter hovered over Marina del Rey during the operation.
