At least one person was killed after a semi-truck and a Toyota sedan collided in Lancaster, authorities said Saturday.
The collision was reported around 9:41 p.m. Friday and California Highway Patrol officers responded to Longview Road and East Avenue J where they found the big rig overturned and the victim lying in the roadway, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were called and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name, gender and age of the victim was not immediately known.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
