A man was found dead in Monrovia near the scene of a fire that destroyed a residence earlier this week, and an investigation was underway Friday.
The body of the man, in his 50s, was discovered about 10:15 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of East Colorado Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
Information was not immediately available on the man’s identity or cause of death.
About 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, a home in the 600 block of East Colorado Boulevard was destroyed by an explosion and fire, according to ABC7, with no injuries reported and no remains found on the day of the fire, which also damaged a nearby home.
According to the station, the body was discovered in a shed. Information was not immediately available on the cause of the fire. The circumstances of the death were under investigation.
