An investigation was continuing Monday into the fatal shooting of a man near the West Carson area.
Deputies from the sheriff’s Carson Station responded around 3:20 p.m. Sunday to reports of a shooting in the 1200 block of West Sepulveda Boulevard, just east of Normandie Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene,” sheriff’s officials said. “A vehicle involved in the shooting was detained and a suspect was arrested.”
The circumstances which led to the shooting were unclear. The names of the victim and the suspect were not immediately released.
