Los Angeles police Wednesday continued to search for a man suspected of assaulting and attempting to kidnap an 11-year-old girl in Wilmington.
The attack occurred around 3:15 p.m. Monday near M Street and Gulf Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A man in his 20s or 30s allegedly came up from behind, assaulted and attempted to kidnap the girl, officials said.
The man drove off in a gray Nissan Kicks with a spare tire on the back after being seen. He was described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing around 240 pounds.
The girl’s condition was not immediately available.
Authorities urged anyone with information about the attack to call Harbor Area detectives at 310-726-7900.
