Firefighters were able to contain flames in a Boyle Heights apartment to the contents of one room Thursday evening.
The fire was reported at 10:07 p.m. Thursday at 202 Gabriel Garcia Marquez St., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.
Flames were showing from the second floor of the two-story apartment building when firefighters arrived, Stewart said.
The 30 firefighters had the flames out in 12 minutes, with no injuries reported, she said.
