Police recovered a gun after they witnessed a suspect toss it over a wall in Long Beach, authorities said Thursday.
Officers from the Long Beach Police Department were in the area of 11th Street and Alamitos Avenue at 2:46 p.m. on Tuesday when they saw a man throwing what they believed was a gun over a wall, police said.
Officers detained the suspect and after further investigation, they found the gun and arrested the suspect.
