Authorities Thursday continued to investigate a fatal collision between two watercraft in Lake Perris.
Officials were notified of the crash shortly before 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, as reported by the Press-Enterprise. When authorities arrived, the two watercraft had no occupants, as a nearby boater “pulled them from the water” and was performing CPR.
Rangers took over and took a 24-year-old Highland woman to the shore, where she was pronounced dead, according to the report. Her name was not immediately released.
Riverside County Fire Departments spokesperson Maggie Haberman told the Press-Enterprise that the other person opted not to seek medical treatment.
