Firefighters knocked down a stubborn fire Sunday at a home in Boyle Heights, authorities said.
The 54 firefighters dispatched at 10:58 a.m. to 1634 E. New Jersey St. had the blaze out within 32 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The seat of the fire appeared to be in the crawlspace of a living space added on to the back of the house.
“While conducting overhaul operations, firefighters are working diligently to protect vehicles in the garage while safely managing a bee swarm on the exterior of the building,” the LAFD’s Margaret Stewart said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
