A man was shot and killed in Pomona, and an investigation was underway Monday.
Officers went to the 600 block of East Lincoln Avenue about 7 p.m. Sunday on a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Pomona Police Department.
“Officers located the victim in his vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds,” a police statement said.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
“Homicide investigators from the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began an extensive investigation,” the police statement said. “The motive for the crime is not yet known.”
No arrests were reported, and no suspect information was available.
