Police sought the public’s help Monday to find a hit-and-run driver who struck a motorcyclist in the San Pedro area.
The collision was reported on around 2:45 p.m. Nov. 10 near the intersection of South Western Avenue and West Park Western Drive, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Detectives determined that the driver of a gray 2007-2010 Toyota Camry made an unsafe left turn from southbound Western Avenue onto eastbound Park Western Drive and struck the motorcyclist, afterward opting to continue driving south on Western Avenue then turning right onto Crestwood Street.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived at the location moments later and took the victim to a hospital for minor injuries.
“Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency service, and remain at the scene to identify themselves,” police said in a statement.
