A 20-year-year old man was shot to death and a 17-year-old boy is in custody Wednesday for allegedly shooting the victim in Boyle Heights.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at 12:20 a.m. to the intersection of Sixth Street and Grande Vista Avenue regarding a shooting. When they arrived, the officers saw the victim walking away from the scene and approached him. The suspect ran away from the officers, who saw him throw an object away, LAPD Officer J. Nelson told City News Service.
Officers searched the area and found the victim inside a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics, Nelson said.
The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
