A three-vehicle collision in South Los Angeles Friday left two people injured, including one who had to be extricated from a vehicle, authorities said.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, firefighters responded to the 9600 block of South San Pedro Street shortly after 1:55 p.m. Friday to reports of a traffic collision.
A man and a woman, both in their 40s, were transported to a hospital, with the man in critical condition and the woman sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
Firefighters extricated one of the victims from a vehicle at the scene.
The cause of the collision remained unclear, and Los Angeles Police Department detectives were investigating.
