A man died Saturday after becoming trapped under the axle of an SUV in a crosswalk in Canoga Park, authorities said.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 11:37 a.m. Saturday to 6800 N. Owensmouth Ave., one block east of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, where the man was pronounced dead at the scene after being extricated by firefighters, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The victim was said to be about 40 years old. No further information was immediately available.
