A shooting outside the Target store at the FIGat7th shopping mall in downtown Los Angeles Monday evening left two people wounded, one critically.
An arrest has not been made, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers responded to the outdoor mall in the 700 block of South Figueroa Street, near Seventh Street, around 8:55 p.m. Monday to reports of shots fired, police said.
Two victims were taken to a hospital, one whom CBS 2 said is a security guard, in critical condition. The condition of the second victim was not immediately known.
Investigators described the suspect as a white man with afro-styled hair, last seen wearing a black shirt, pants, and scarf while traveling either north or south on Figueroa Street, according to police.
It was unclear what motivated the shooting, and detectives were conducting an investigation Monday evening..
