Detectives sought the public’s help Thursday in identifying the motorist who severely injured a 76-year-old woman in a hit-and-run collision in November.

Around 6:40 p.m. on Nov. 24, a dark-colored sedan traveling south on Fallbrook Avenue at Victory Boulevard struck the woman as she was crossing the street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. “The driver failed to stop, identify themselves, and/or render aid to the injured person, and fled the scene in an unknown direction,” according to a department statement.

Police said she was transported to a hospital with severe injuries.

Authorities described the suspect’s vehicle as possibly an early 2010s Honda Civic. A description of the driver was not immediately available.
