A woman was shot Saturday in the West Rancho Dominguez area of Los Angeles.
The shooting was reported at 7:14 p.m. Saturday in the 14900 block of Stanford Avenue north of Compton Boulevard, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Tracy Koerner told City News Service.
The original call claimed a man and a woman were shot, but Koerner said only the woman was found wounded.
KCAL 9 reported that a car involved in the case had caught fire, but it was unclear if the woman was in that vehicle.
Paramedics took her to a hospital by ambulance, Koerner said. Her condition was not known.
Suspect and motive information were not immediately available.
