A hit-and-run vehicle fatally struck a 60-year-old man riding a scooter in South Los Angeles Sunday morning, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 1 a.m. in the 100 block of East Manchester Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.
A vehicle going westbound on Manchester struck the scooter, which was going in the same direction, police said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. No vehicle description was immediately available.
