A man was shot by one of several suspects during a fight Tuesday morning in Long Beach, authorities said.
The condition of the victim was not immediately known, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Officers dispatched a little after midnight to the 2600 block of 56th Way, near South Street and Paramount Boulevard, located the victim. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital.
Police said he had been in a fight with several suspects when one of them fired shots, striking him in the upper and lower body. The suspects fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.
