Firefighters searched the Pacoima Wash fruitlessly from the air, water and ground after a vehicle was found in the wash under the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway overpass Saturday evening.
The vehicle was reported in the water at 9:35 p.m. Saturday at 14000 W. Paxton St., at Laurel Canyon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Lyndsey Lantz.
The LAFD searched the area with two helicopters, swiftwater teams and several fire companies for about an hour but found no one, Lantz said.
It was not known how the vehicle got into the wash, she said.
