A man in his 60s was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Del Rey, police said Wednesday.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Division were called at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to the 11700 block of Avon Way, between Washington and Culver boulevards regarding a shooting. When they arrived, witnesses told them the victim — a man who police say was in his 50s — and the suspect were seen talking in a nearby alley, an LAPD officer told City News Service.
Video obtained near the scene shows the suspect at some point drew a gun, shot the victim and left, according to the LAPD. Police searched the area for the suspect and arrested him a short time later, not far from the scene.
