A Silver Alert was issued Sunday by the California Highway Patrol for an 80-year-old woman with a medical condition in need of medication who was last seen in El Sereno.
Yet Lee was last seen at about 11 a.m. Saturday leaving her home in the 4500 block of Bowman Boulevard, between Eastern Avenue and Huntington Drive, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Lee was headed to an appointment in the 1100 block of Wilshire Boulevard, just west of downtown Los Angeles, police said. Family members told the LAPD she may have gone to the appointment by bus.
She was described as a 5 foot tall Asian woman weighing 100 pounds with white hair and brown eyes. Lee was last seen wearing a blue cowboy hat, gray jacket, black pants and gray shoes. Police said she also carried a light-blue handbag.
Anyone with information on Lee’s whereabouts was asked to call 911, or the LAPD’s Hollenbeck Community Police Station at 323-342-4110. Calls during weekends or non-business hours can be directed to 877-527-3247. Those who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or go to lacrimestoppers.org.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
