A 65-year-old man who was washed ashore near Belmont Pier in Long Beach was identified Monday.
The victim’s body was discovered around 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of Ocean Boulevard and 36th Place, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.
He was identified Monday by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Ray Scott.
There were no immediate details regarding what led to the death.
