A man was fatally wounded at a park in Compton, authorities said Tuesday.
Deputies responded at about 6:10 p.m. Monday to Roy Campanella Park at 14812 S. Stanford Ave. after hearing gunshots at the location, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Deputies located a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he later died.
It was unclear what led up to the fatal shooting, and there was no description of a suspect.
