Police Thursday are investigating a fatal shooting at a dog park in Venice that left one person dead.
Los Angeles Police Department officers from the Pacific Division responded to the Westminster Dog Park at 1234 Pacific Ave., between Westminster Avenue and Main Street around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday where they found a man with gunshot wounds in the parking lot, LAPD Officer Rosario Cervantes told City News Service.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
Police remained at the scene into the early hours of Thursday morning searching interviewing witnesses and searching for clues in the fatal shooting.
