Three people were injured Monday in a shooting in the University Park area of Los Angeles.
Officers responded near Vermont Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard shortly after 4:05 p.m. to reports regarding shots fired, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police identified two of the victims as a man in his 20s and a woman in her 50s, who were both taken to a hospital.
According to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz, paramedics were initially dispatched for three victims. The third victim was presumed to have declined medical assistance, Lantz said.
It was unclear what motivated the shooting, and there was no description of a suspect.
