An 81-year-old man who had been last seen in Panorama City, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert, has been located, authorities announced Thursday.
Valentine Mehling was last seen around 4 p.m. April 20 near the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Nordhoff Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
He has since been located, but no details were released about when or where he was found.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
