A motorist was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after a multi-vehicle crash in Stanton that killed a man and injured another person, authorities said Saturday.
The crash occurred at about 11 p.m. Friday in the area of a Magnolia and Pacific avenues, according to Sgt. Gerard McCann of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Paramedics dispatched to the scene at 11:06 p.m. pronounced a man dead at the scene and rushed another person to a hospital, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
One motorist attempted to flee the scene on foot but was arrested a short distance from the crash, McCann told City News Service.
No further information was immediately available.
