Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detectives Tuesday are continuing their investigation of a fatal vehicle shooting of a man in Bell.
Bell Police Department officers were called to the 5000 block of Florence Avenue between Wilcox Avenue and Sherman Way 7 p.m. Monday regarding a shooting and when they arrived at the scene, they learned the victim was shot in the upper torso while driving a gold Toyota sedan, LASD Deputy Tracy Koerner told City News Service. The victim then crashed into a nearby building, according to reports from the scene.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department took the victim to an hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
LASD homicide detectives are assisting the Bell Police Department with the investigation of the shooting, Koerner said.
