A 71-year-old man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Sylmar was identified Tuesday.
Officers responded to the 12200 block of San Fernando Road, near Hubbard Street, at around 8:50 p.m. Monday regarding reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said the victim suffered fatal injuries and that the driver remained at the scene.
The victim was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Teddy Goad.
No further details were provided.
