Two armed suspects allegedly involved in a shooting in South Los Angeles were on the loose Wednesday evening, police said.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division responded to a shots fired call at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday in the 6500 block of Figueroa Street, just west of the Harbor (110) Freeway.
They pursued the suspects, who evaded police and were last seen driving southbound on Figueroa, LAPD Officer Tony Im told City News Service.
Two people were taken to a hospital in unknown condition after a truck and another vehicle crashed into a fire hydrant at Figueroa and Gage Avenue. Im said it was not immediately known if the crash was related to the shooting.
No injuries were immediately reported from the gunfire.
