A motorist fled on foot from a crash that ended a short pursuit involving police officers in Culver City Tuesday, authorities said.
Officers attempted to pull over a black pickup truck at about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday near Sepulveda and Jefferson boulevards, according to PIO Jennifer Atenza of the Culver City Police Department.
“The driver refused to stop, lost control, and crashed near Green Valley Circle, flipping onto its side and shearing a concrete light pole,” Atenza said. “The driver fled on foot and an area search was conducted.”
Two passengers were detained and taken to a hospital as a precaution for minor injuries, she added.
The vehicle was recovered as evidence and the investigation was ongoing.
