A man wanted in connection with a 2023 armed carjacking led Culver City police on a brief chase Tuesday that ended with a violent collision at an Inglewood intersection that injured the suspect and three passengers in the car — two of which were children.

None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening, according to Culver City police.

The chase started around 10 a.m. when officers in Culver City began following a car driven by Aaron Flenoy, 24, of Inglewood, who was wanted in connection with an Aug. 3, 2023, armed carjacking that occurred in the 5300 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, according to the Culver City Police Department.

Police tried to pull over the vehicle, but Flenoy drove off, prompting a chase that lasted about two minutes, police said. The suspect drove west on Centinela Avenue, then ran a red light at La Brea Avenue and struck another vehicle.

Flenoy and his adult passenger both sustained minor injuries in the crash, police said. Two children, aged 5 and 9, were also in the car and taken to a hospital for evaluation. The driver of the other vehicles struck by the suspect was not injured, police said.

According to police, Flenoy will be booked on a warrant stemming from the 2023 carjacking, along with new allegations of felony evading causing injury and felony child endangerment. Police said Flenoy has an “extensive criminal history with numerous felony convictions for violent offenses and was on active parole for robbery.

Flenoy’s adult passenger was identified as 30-year-old Timberline Davenport of Inglewood, who was being booked for “multiple outstanding warrants” and on suspicion of felony child endangerment.
