Authorities asked for the public’s help Friday in locating a 58-year-old at-risk man last seen in South Los Angeles, prompting the activation of a Silver Alert.

The California Highway Patrol issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Kevin Clinton was last seen on Thursday near West Jefferson Boulevard and South Western Avenue at around 8 p.m.

Clinton was described as a 5-foot-6-inch-tall man weighing 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black sweater, sweatpants and sandals.

Anyone with information about Clinton’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
