Orange County sheriff’s investigators Tuesday asked for the public’s help tracking down a suspect in the fatal shooting of a security guard in an unincorporated area of Anaheim.
Deputies responded just before 1 a.m. Sunday to the 99 Bottles & Cocktails store in the 8000 block of Katella Avenue, according to Carrie Braun, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies found the victim — 48-year-old Salvador Ramirez of Fountain Valley — suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, Braun said. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead Monday night, Braun said.
Deputies were looking for a suspect who was seen running away from the scene.
