A 43-year-old man was charged Monday with molesting a girl, starting when she was 6 years old, in the city of Orange.
Cupertino Nava Santiago was charged with sexual intercourse or sodomy with child 10 years old or younger, four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child younger than 14, and three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child by oral copulation, all felonies.
Santiago was accused of molesting the girl, to whom he is related, starting in 2018, according to Lt. Phil McMullin of the Orange Police Department. The alleged abuse continued through July 2, according to court records.
