A 33-year-old man who was fatally shot in Palmdale was identified Thursday.
The shooting occurred about 1:20 a.m. Sunday in the 4600 block of East Avenue S, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses at the scene said the shooting took place near a Domino’s Pizza in the Palmdale Market Place shopping center, following a confrontation.
He was identified Thursday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Jorge Iniguez Vallejo Jr.

The homicide was the third in the third Antelope Valley in six days.
A man was shot and killed July15 at 11:50 p.m. on the 38000 block of Ninth Street East between Sierra Highway and 10th Street East in Palmdale. The second occurred at 8:05 p.m. Friday in the 44300 block of Cedar Avenue in Lancaster.
