Four men and a juvenile were taken into custody Wednesday following the service of search warrants related to grand thefts in Perris and Corona.

Special Enforcement Team deputies, along with the Perris Station Investigations Bureau, Homeless Outreach Team, Gang Task Force — Regions 6 & 7, San Bernardino Police Department, and Rialto Police Department investigators, served search warrants in the 17000 block of San Bernardino Avenue in Fontana, the 200 block of North Glenwood Avenue in Rialto, the 400 block of East Easton Street, also in Rialto, and the 4000 block of North Sierra Avenue in San Bernardino, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators recovered evidence of the alleged thefts including an unregistered firearm, brass knuckles and illegal fireworks, sheriff’s officials said.

Deputies initially responded at approximately 11:10 a.m. on July 11 to a business in the 2500 block of North Perris Boulevard, near Orange Avenue, in Perris regarding reports of grand theft.

An investigation into the theft was conducted by the Perris Station Robbery and Burglary Suppression Team.

Further investigation revealed that the suspects were involved in another grand theft the day before at a business in Corona, sheriff’s officials said.

Investigators identified the five suspects taken into custody during the execution of the search warrants as:

— Akon Perry, 20, of Fontana, and Deion Love, 18, along with a 16-year-old, both from Rialto, were all booked on suspicion of organized retail theft and grand theft;

— Donald Brown, 34, of Rialto, was booked on suspicion of possessing brass knuckles and illegal fireworks; and

— Robert Love, 45, of Rialto, was booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
