A family disturbance involving a knife-wielding woman led to a SWAT response in the Westlake District Thursday.
Officers were sent to the 300 block of Lafayette Park Place, near Third Street, about 8:20 a.m. Thursday to investigate a report of a woman in her 40s armed with a knife, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
At some point that morning, a SWAT team was called to the location.
The standoff ended around 12:30 p.m. when the woman was taken into custody without further incident, police said.
