A 36-year-old man who was arrested after a served search warrant was served at a motel in Indio was behind bars Thursday.
Juan Francisco Gutierrez-Angulo was arrested and booked into Benoit Detention Center in Indio Wednesday on suspicion of robbery; assault with a deadly weapon; false imprisonment; and resisting, obstructing or delaying a peace officer, according to the Indio Police Department.
Gutierrez-Angulo’s bail was set at $30,000.
A woman, identified only as a 36-year-old, was arrested along with Gutierrez-Angulo and will face the same charges, police said.
Detectives and police officers served a search warrant shortly before 6:50 a.m. Wednesday at Ruta Motel, at 82083 Indio Blvd.
The circumstances behind the incident were not immediately known.
