A woman sued Sean “Diddy” Combs Thursday, alleging she was drugged by someone with a tainted drink, driven to a hotel and sexually abused by the rapper in 2018.
The plaintiff is identified only as C.R. in her Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit, which also names multiple Diddy companies as defendants. C.R.’s suit alleges sexual assault and battery, gender violence and negligent supervision and retention. She seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.
“The conduct … is shockingly typical of how defendant Sean Combs conducted himself for many years,” the suit states. “Many individuals and entities facilitated and participated in this abhorrent conduct. Sean Combs believed he was above the law and that he could do whatever he wanted with impunity. He is not; he cannot.”
A representative for the 55-year-old rapper could not be immediately reached.
According to her suit, C.R. traveled with Los Angeles with a group of people in February 2018 to see a Diddy concert that she believes took place at the Academy LA on Hollywood Boulevard. During the concert, C.R. and others were invited backstage and were told there would be an after-party, the suit states.
Diddy was present backstage talking to others when someone handed C.R. a drink that “hit her quickly and strongly,” according to the complaint, which further states than an impaired plaintiff was “bagged and gagged,” her hands were restrained and something was placed over her mouth to prevent her from speaking.
Someone loaded her into a vehicle and drove her to a hotel that C.R. believes was in Hollywood, where she encountered Combs, the suit states. The rapper forced C.R. to touch him against her will and then sexually abused her, the suit alleges.
“Plaintiff remained under the drugs’ effects and went in and out of full consciousness,” according to the suit.
The drugs’ effects eventually wore off and someone drove her back to the hotel where she was staying, the suit states.
C.R. has suffered severe emotional and psychological trauma and other damages due to the alleged abuses by Diddy, the suit alleges.
