A man was shot to death at a Homeland intersection, but no suspects were immediately identified, authorities said Thursday.
The deadly attack happened about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Creag Avenue and Seaview Drive, roughly a half-mile north of Highway 74, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Lance Stoyer said that witnesses discovered the victim, whose identity was not immediately released, dead on the side of the road and called 911.
Patrol deputies arrived minutes later and confirmed the fatality. The circumstances were unknown.
The matter was turned over to the Central Homicide Unit, whose detectives were working to develop leads Thursday, according to Stoyer.
