An 18-year-old man is in custody Thursday and a 17-year-old boy was also arrested, accused of stealing jewelry at gunpoint in Perris.
Jaylin Sincere Solomon of Moreno Valley was arrested and booked into Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta Wednesday on suspicion of robbery, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Solomon’s bail was set at $750,000.
Deputies responded to a report about 5:35 p.m. on Aug. 22 in the 1000 block of Laguna Street regarding a robbery and learned two suspects stole jewelry at gunpoint and fled the area, according to the department. It was unclear how many people were robbed, nor was it disclosed what items were taken.
Authorities identified the suspects as Solomon and a 17-year-old male from Moreno Valley whose name was not revealed. The boy was found on Oct. 6 in the 900 block of Morgan Street in Perris and taken into custody without incident.
According to sheriff’s Sgt. Kevin Mahoney, deputies found evidence associated with the robbery in his possession and he was later booked into Juvenile Hall on suspicion of robbery.
Solomon was found Wednesday in the 100 block of East Emporia Street in Ontario by authorities and was taken into custody without incident, Mahoney said.
