A man killed during an altercation at a Halloween party in La Puente was identified by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office Monday.
Aldo Garcia, 52, of La Puente, was killed about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in a backyard in the 500 block of South Third Avenue, southeast of Workman Mill Road.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to the scene in response to an assault call.
“The victim and suspect were involved in a physical altercation at a Halloween party,” the department said in a statement. “The physical altercation rendered the victim unconscious.”
A description of the suspect and what led to the fight has not been disclosed.
