An 11-year-old boy taken by his father about four months ago has been located but the father remained at large, authorities said Wednesday.
David Marchesano went missing July 13 from the Malibu-Calabasas area with his son Jackson while driving his white 2014 Volkswagen Passat. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported Wednesday that the boy was located and the car recovered.
No details were released about where the boy and vehicle were found.
David Marchesano whereabouts remain unknown, a deputy at the Sheriff’s Information Bureau told City News Service.
The 41-year-old man is considered at-risk because he suffers from depression, sheriff’s officials said.
He is described as white, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 190 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and a beard, wearing a flannel shirt, dark jeans and cowboy boots.
Anyone who sees Marchesano or knows where he might be was asked to call the sheriff’s Missing Persons Detail at 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
