A person was shot in Van Nuys Tuesday and taken to a hospital.
Officers responded shortly after 5:10 p.m. Tuesday to the 16800 block of Roscoe Boulevard, near Balboa Boulevard, regarding reports of shots fired, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics also arrived at the scene, where they took one person to a hospital in unknown condition, LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart told City News Service.
The identity of the victim was not immediately known.
Police said the suspect was last seen heading westbound on Roscoe Boulevard in a dark-colored newer model BMW SUV.
