Los Angeles police issued appeals to the public Tuesday for information that could help them locate two drivers who left the scene of separate crashes in December that severely injured two victims.
One crash happened at about 1:50 a.m. on Dec. 29, 2025. A black Honda traveling north on Bonnie Brae Street near Sixth Street in the Westlake District veered to the right and stuck a parked vehicle that then careened into a man in his 60s who was standing nearby, according to the Los Angeles Police Department
The Honda was last seen heading northbound on Bonnie Brae.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he was treated for severe injuries.
About two weeks earlier, a man in his 50s was severely injured by a vehicle that hit him in a crosswalk in downtown Los Angeles.
The crash took place at about 6 a.m. on Dec. 12, 2025, at the intersection of Ninth Street and Maple Avenue in the Fashion District of downtown Los Angeles, police said.
A dark-colored vehicle traveling west on Ninth Street crashed into the victim as he crossed northbound on Maple Street in the crosswalk. The vehicle was last seen going westbound on Ninth Street.
Paramedics took the severely injured man to a hospital for treatment.
